York State Bank

About Us

York State Bank opened it's doors to the public on July 15, 1943.  During the grand opening an ad from York State Bank in a local paper stated "Large or small, your business will be appreciated and every modern banking service will be at your command."   We still feel that way in today's growing economy.  We look for ways to improve our relationship with our customers and to make your banking easy.  While in 1943 we advertised lending money for coal, with all of the advances of today’s world, it's much more common to make personal loans for computers or electronic equipment.

Between 1984 and 1986, two local banks, the Gresham State Bank, and Fillmore County Bank merged with us to become York State Bank branches.  In 1993 new construction added a second drive-in facility at our Plaza branch.

We look for ways to grow and be there for our customers!  If you have any suggestions on how York State Bank can better serve you with this web site, please e-mail us. Your comments are very valuable as we expand with technology.
